Edit images
A number of basic functions for editing an image are available in the Media Library. Click ‘Edit image’ in the properties window.

In this article:
Rotate
Rotating the image is the first editing option.

Click the ‘rotate to left arrow ’ or ‘rotate to right arrow ’ radio button and then click ‘Toepassen’.
The image rotates through 90 degrees.
Crop
Cropping the image is the second editing option.

There are four options for cropping the image:

- Unlimited
You choose an area and cut it out of the image. The image resolution stays the same.
Select ‘Unlimited’ from the options in the drop-down menu. Next drag the red corners to create the cut-out you want and click the ‘Toepassen’ button to create the edited image.

- Enter pixel size
Enter your choice of pixel size; e.g. for use in a web CMS. You do not have to choose an option from the drop-down menu to carry this out. Enter the number of pixels and the cropped image will be created for you. Click the ‘Toepassen’ button to create the edited image.

- Fixed ratio
Select one of the predefined ratios in the drop-down menu. The image resolution stays the same. For example, select ‘Landscape rectangle (4:3)’. The image is automatically cropped to the right ratio. Click the ‘Toepassen’ button to create the edited image.

- Fixed ratio combined with resolution
Select one of the predefined ratio/resolution combinations in the drop-down menu. For example, ‘Facebook profile photo (180px x 180px)’. The image is automatically cropped to the right ratio. Click the ‘Toepassen’ button to create the edited image.

NOTE: if you enter a higher pixel value or select a higher pixel value than the original image, the image will be enlarged, resulting in some loss of image quality.
Mirror
The third editing option is to mirror the image.

Use the ‘Mirror’ option to mirror an image horizontally or vertically.

Click the ‘Toepassen’ button to create the edited image.
Next, click the ‘Bewaar’ button to save the image in the folder.
This final step is required for each editing option.
The image is (always) stored as a new image in the same folder as the original.
