Manage and assign tags
Once the Media Library has been activated within Docufiller, you can set up predefined categories and tags. NOTE: only administrators have the authority required for determining these categories and tags. After they have been created, the tags can be linked to images by all users. This option has the advantage of making it easier to search for images because these tags determine the search terms.

Set up categories and tags
Log in as an administrator and click the cogwheel to go to ‘Mediabank tags’
Next, click ‘Add category’ at the bottom left and give the category a name. Now you can add several tags to this category, separated by a comma between each tag.
For example:
Or:

You can add as many categories as you feel necessary.

NOTE: It is important to give careful consideration to your categories and tag structure beforehand. This approach helps you get the most out of this solution and prevents you having to subsequently retag images in new categories.
Assign tags to new images
Tags can be assigned when uploading new images.
NOTE: the tags you click are applied to all images that are uploaded at the same time. So only select images that are all going to be given the same tags.
Go to ‘Upload image’ in the public or personal images section.

Now select the files and choose the tags that apply to these images. Next, click ‘Upload files’.
NOTE: Do all the images have the same creator and the same description? If so, you can also enter the properties at this stage.
Assign tags to a single existing image
Go to the public or personal images section and click a single image. Next, click ‘Properties’.

All the properties of the image you have selected are displayed. As you can see in the figure below, no tags have been added.
Now click ‘Edit properties’ at the bottom left.

Click the tags that apply to this image. In this example, the tags ‘Landscape’ and ‘Mountains’ apply. Now click ‘Save’ to link the tags to the image followed by ‘Close’ to return to your image folder.

Simultaneously assign tags to multiple existing images
Go to the public or personal images section and click an image. Then click all the other images that you want to tag.
Two images are selected in the example below.

Once you have selected all the images you want, click the ‘Change tags’ button next to the counter displaying the number of selected images.
Select all the tags that apply to these images; in this case ‘Landscape’ and ‘Mountains’.
Next, click ‘Save’ to link the tags to the images.

NOTE: when you change the tags, you overwrite all existing tags previously assigned to the image.
Search using tags
In addition to searching for an image using a search term, you can also search using tags. To do so, click the magnifying glass at the top right.
![]()
Click the tags you want to use for your search, and then click ‘Zoeken’.

The search results are displayed.

You can use the ‘Rerun search’ option if you want to change your search. Any previously selected tags and your previous search term remain active.
You can also search specifically based on multiple tags.

Activate ‘Search more specifically with tags’ and select multiple tags. Click the ‘Search’ button.
The images that are now found as results should contain all the activated tags.
Keywords
Other than tags, you can also always add ‘Keywords’ to an image if you want to assign extra search terms to an image that are not available as a tag. You do this in the image properties.
